Key Words for the Study of the Arabic Literary and Manuscript Tradition (KALiMaT)  (current)

The projects aims at creating and publishing KALiMaT the first online handbook of Arabic literature from the pre-modern and early modern periods. The new publication format promotes Arabic and English as the two languages of academic research and learning in the field. KALiMaT builds on and enhances OES.

The project From 1914-1918-online to the Open Encyclopedia System (OES), funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 2016-2020 was fundamental to the development of the OES Software. The project was the first to realize a standardized platform for creating, publishing and maintaining online encyclopedias in the humanities and social sciences.
