21.-22.03.2024 | 2. OES-Community-Treffen | Freie Universität Berlin
The second OES Community Meeting took place on 21 and 22 March 2024. Serving as a platform for joint learning and exchange, the meeting brought together editors, editorial teams and developers of various publication projects that use the Open Encyclopedia System to produce quality online publications in open access.
During the two-day event, which had ‘Publishing in Open Formats’ as its focus, participants presented the latest developments and challenges in their OES projects, emphasising openness, and discussed the conceptual, editorial, and functional features of the publication format. The collaborative workshop also provided a practical introduction to installating and working with the OES, and served as a forum for discussing existing and future OES functions.
The second OES user meeting is a collaboration between the Centre for Digital Systems (CeDiS/UB) and the Research Area 5 ‘Building Digital Communities’ of the EXC ‘Temporal Communities’ at Freie Universität Berlin. Participation was by invitation only. The workshop was held in German.
