Once or twice a year, OES users and interested parties convene at Freie Universität Berlin for the OES Community Meeting. These two-day events provode an opportunity to familiarise yourself with other applications and project teams, share knowledge, and discuss the future development of OES.

• Costs: Food and drinks will be provided during the event. You are responsible for planning and financing your travel and accommodation.

• Presentation of OES applications (lectures, posters, etc.) (including coffee break)

12:15-13:00 Lecture: "Open access publishing with OES: metadata, licensing, indexing”, Michael Kleineberg, Freie Universität Berlin

13:00-14:00 lunch break

14:00-17:00 OES applications and OES community

• Discussion on OES applications: Open issues from the morning session
• Materials for onboarding new OES users: What is needed to get started with OES easily?
• Writing sprint: Community-driven collaborative material creation (including coffee break)
• OES community: How do we work together? Experiences with the formats and discussion

• Organise article submission and review process with OJS: First experiences
• “Search in OES application …”: Optimisation of the search function
• “Future OES”: Thinking ahead OES, gathering requirements, using AI?
